No @pa_StephenNash . Having ‘PA’ in front of your name won’t stop confusion. Changing the title back to ASSISTANT would stop confusion, as would PAs actually introducing themselves instead of pretending to be doctors
Ominous:
Tories Praise Wes Streeting’s Plans For The NHS.
Privatisation isn't the answer. 30%-40% of money handed to private healthcare providers vanishes in profits. Money buys less.
Healthcare must not be a profit centre for corporations.

There is a fundamental difference between newly qualified doctors and Physician Associates…
Ask a new doctor to see undifferentiated patients without senior oversight and they will say no
Ask PAs, some will get excited
Training brings caution when dealing with people’s lives
The exact reason why the Pa role is outrageous is spelt out here.
The GP brags that the PAs see and telephone triage 50-60 patients a day
Remind me what the safe number is that a GP should see in a day let alone a PA
They aren’t confessing. They are bragging
Patients struggling to get a GP appointment…
Whilst GPs are offering to work for FREE as there’s no jobs in the NHS for them?!
What the hell is going on in England?!
Here is James Cleverly telling parliament in a written statement in November 2022 that the Conservative government - in which he was then Foreign Secretary - was starting negotiations with Mauritius over the Chagos Islands.
🔴 @UKLabour pandering to xenophobia is repugnant.
🔴The Brexit vote centred around leave or remain not Q “do you want to stop immigration”.
🔴And Brexit has accelerated immigration. Undoing it ensures more control not less.
🔴Polling shows a large majority now would vote to rejoin EU.
🔴 SO the excuses from @Keir_Starmer and @YvetteCooperMP for continuing with Brexit don’t add up.

I actually think it’s shameful how proportionately well-paid PAs are compared to literally every other role.
Doctors, nurses, physios, OTs, radiographers, the entire of the agenda for change pay ladder is made a joke when they’ve jumped straight ahead of all these…
Why is FOM a 'red line'? This is what we want in our own corner of the world: FOM!

There are shortages of GPs because NHS England has failed to fund GP practices to retain, employ or increase their capacity
A cut in funding by 20% £/patient in the last 8yrs & investing in other roles instead, we now have unemployed GPs who are unable to get work
@NickTriggle
So Kemi Badenoch, whose party has spent weeks attacking Keir Starmer for registering use of a flat from a party donor, has been secretly using the flat of another millionaire donor, currency trader and Tufton Street think-tanker to run her own campaign https://t.co/iXlS9msCIB
This was always what Brexit was about: removing our employment rights and reducing our food and environmental standards so that the the rich have less obstacles to making money hand over fist.
Tom Tugendhat, "We need the best healthcare.. In Australia.. Across Europe they have better healthcare and better access to doctors.. It's not about money"
Actually it is about money. The EU on average spend 21% more per person on their health service. Germany spends 39% more
I'm so tired of Conservatives (and even Labour) say the NHS being on its knees is not about funding when the buildings are literally falling apart, we have fewer doctors and nurses per person compared to similar countries, and we have 14 years of shameless underfunding of the NHS
It is about money - you get what you pay for
If a procedure or clinic has always been undertaken by a Reg or Consultant, then there is no way a PA should be doing it
What are you thinking @CHFTNHS!?
It is a "scandal" that, at a time when patients are crying out for doctors, so many newly-qualified GPs cannot find work - @rcgp figures show that the average unemployed newly-qualified GP has applied for 13 jobs 😭😭😭 Audible murmur of shock in the auditorium #RCGPAC#RCGPAC2
Robert Gros made £27m selling useless gowns via the VIP PPE Lane, of course he never paid back a penny, he bought 2 mansions instead.
RT and see if we can make him as famous as Michelle Mone.
If @wesstreeting wants to restore faith in the DDRB, he must ensure they release their report in a timely manner.
Doctors pay is still 20.8% down since 2008. The only way to make medicine an attractive and rewarding career choice is through full pay restoration.
