@ArtanGjini73765@IzmetKosmeti@PolarisIsGreece@vaj_ulliri about Arwehler right now and I'm not going to waste my time trying to find in which part of her lecture Efthymiou claimed that 40% figure (which is easily disprovable anyway) or that she even claimed it in the first place.
@IzmetKosmeti@ArtanGjini73765@PolarisIsGreece@vaj_ulliri Athens was literally the only Grecophone settlement in Central Attica. Plaka was founded by Arvanite settlers from neighbouring villages. It was THE Arvanite neighbourhood and Arvanites made up a small minority of the population of Old Athens.
@vaj_ulliri@PolarisIsGreece Indeed, as is the linguistic assimilation of Acharnes/Menidi and Marousi/Amarousion. Sourmelis is a reliable source, as is the local tradition of the two settlements. If we go by Davranoglou's statements on the unpublished Arvanite genotypes then this also took place elsewhere.
@Arberor1190@skylegendd1 These maps are known to be biased, and biased maps exist on the Greek side too. The difference is that Greeks often acknowledge bias and choose not to spread it, while Albanians frequently present such maps as their main source of evidence.
Here is one of the Greek sided Maps:
@kts_sp66528 Εντάξει πρώτα απ'όλα αρκέτοι απ'αυτούς τους οικισμούς έχουν Ελληνοφωνήσει πια κιόλας, όχι μόνο ταυτίζονται οι κάτοικοι τους ως Έλληνες (όπως κι οι Αρβανιτόφωνοι) αλλά δεν αυτοπροσδιορίζονται καν ως Αρβανίτες πια.
