It’s not everything you can buy that you can afford.
Money management is not just about how much you make, but knowing what deserves your money and what doesn’t.

Every major acquisition begins long before the contracts are signed. It starts with preparation, careful analysis, difficult conversations, and a team capable of making the right decisions under pressure. That was exactly the focus of my sixth day at Stanford University's Mergers and Acquisitions Program.
The day began with an engaging session on corporate taxation, a subject many entrepreneurs overlook until it becomes expensive. One of the biggest takeaways was understanding how the structure of a deal can significantly impact its profitability. The best investors don't just know how to buy companies; they know how to structure transactions that preserve value and create long-term wealth.
The most exciting part of the day was our merger simulation. We were divided into executive teams and challenged to negotiate, present, and defend a complete merger proposal. I served as the CEO, working alongside an exceptional team that included our Director of Mergers and Acquisitions, Company Secretary, and Chief Financial Officer. Together, we presented our financial strategy, explained our funding structure, responded to challenging questions, and navigated the complexities of completing a successful merger.
The celebration at the end of the exercise, when we proudly announced, "We are officially merged," was about much more than completing a classroom assignment. It reflected what happens when preparation meets execution and when strategy is backed by collaboration.
Experiences like this remind me why I continue to invest in learning, regardless of where I am in my entrepreneurial journey. The business world is constantly evolving, and leaders who stop learning eventually stop growing. If you want to build companies that outlive you, you must keep sharpening your mind, expanding your perspective, and preparing yourself for opportunities that require far more than ambition. They require excellence.

When civilised people sharply disagree on political issues their "humanity" still shines through with empathy.
To some its all about hatred. Hatred blinds and always fails.
Attention my northerners, brothers and sisters: why are your leaders are so heartless with all the opportunities you people have? Why are you treating your people like nothing? You people are oppressors; you want the poor to remain poor while your children are doing well. Haji @atiku, what have you done for your people? You built a university that the average northerner cannot attend. You were vice president for 8 years; what development did you bring back to the north? Absolutely nothing.
My northerners, brothers and sisters: your leaders are your enemies, President @officialABAT. He can help you; give him your support. He will educate and ensure all northerners are treated equally.
