@BasedGyaru @EsarahEniye @86Chick_hicks @niifles You’re just throwing out slurs.
Also nobody cares if you make a character slightly lighter? Its when the character is extremely lighter or grey.
Also I explained in what you replied to why its okay to “blackwash” characters most of the time, with a few exceptions
(comment rewrite

[TomMato🏳️‍⚧️ (STICKBEAN #1 FAN) @tomMato_osc]

@86Chick_hicks @niifles You say this then people whitewash those characters afterwords. Not only that, but most “blackwashed” character’s races are not important to the story.
While a black person’s race is almost always important due to the representation and sometimes it even affects them directly

@EsarahEniye @86Chick_hicks @niifles -Her race is important to the story.

[TomMato🏳️‍⚧️ (STICKBEAN #1 FAN) @tomMato_osc]

@EsarahEniye @86Chick_hicks @niifles Well its also that over history people have erased black people, while white people benefited.
And its that most the characters “blackwashed” have their race not important to the story, though if it is someone like for example Mulan it wouldn’t be okay to make her black because-

[TomMato🏳️‍⚧️ (STICKBEAN #1 FAN) @tomMato_osc]

@86Chick_hicks @niifles its almost like white people are way more represented than black people, while turning a character dark skinned is putting in representation for a minority.
