There wasn’t a single part of me that expected anything from this game before kick-off.

I’m not suggesting you ever go to a place like Arsenal “expecting” anything from it but we all knew we wouldn’t turn up. The scoreline is largely irrelevant. The football is terrible, the tactics are negative, there’s no cohesive plan, we don’t score freely, we’re terrible in both boxes from set-pieces, we don’t make proactive substitutions, I could go on and on and on.

It’s not just about results, obviously that’s a big part of it, no one is going to pretend otherwise but I said it the other day and I’ll say it again now, this isn’t Palace. There are things we expect as supporters, we are not spoilt, we are not setting too high a bar. It’s not good enough.

Changes are needed.

@CPFCHQ Also think Ward is being viewed as a CB as much as a Rb by vieira. Especially in a back 5 if we play it. So to have 3 who can play RB/RWB is a bonus. Especially with two of them happy to play the other side as well
