@evbriefmedia Nice snapshot. Based on how busy the 1-3 charger sites I use at East Village-Zetland, Alexandria, Mosman and Northbridge that I use get, EV take-up among people without access to home charging is increasing. Can see a need for these urban hubs as well as highway roadhouses.
@Johnty35524255@Chargefox@LudicrousFeed@Rizflip@RahulPrasad74@NRMA Hmm, not sure. This is a weird one. Generally speaking I think we may see charger attendants at large sites during peak periods. I’m a proponent of digital queues for chargers because conflict can arise when it’s not clear who’s already waiting to charge.
Here’s the #Tesla Model 3 #EV refresh at a rare press event for the brand: the Munich motor show. Mobbed is the only way to describe the attention. Punters clearly realise it’s probably the most relevant car here in 2023. Don’t miss the infamous stalk-less steering wheel.
Cupra time! Once called the Urban Rebel, this 4m-long #EV hot hatch is now the Raval. It starts rolling out of a new factory Spain, late 2025. But Cupra is still tossing up about whether to send it to Australia, or concentrate only on Europe where small cars remain very popular.
@Hayden_120@volkswagen@chasingcarsblog Perhaps that is how it will pan out. There’s normally not a year’s delay for a GTI model. Lot of time between now and 2026.
First reveal after a relaxing break is this: the @Volkswagen ID GTI Concept. First VW #EV to wear the iconic GTI badge retains FWD balance. Might share 166kW power/400km+ range with Cupra Raval. Expect to see this shape as a production car akin to Polo GTI. @chasingcarsblog
@Hayden_120@volkswagen@chasingcarsblog Factory comes online in second half of 2025. First cars built late 2025. European launch early 2026. That’s the timeline if there are zero delays between now and then.
