Designers, it's time to find a Figma alternative.
The tool we rely on to do our work is now using said work to train AI models to eventually make our jobs obsolete.
If you care about your craft, you should be outraged by this.
And no, allowing users to manually opt-out of this doesn't make it better.
This is the Figma way. Do something shady for profit, but get away with it by allowing users to disable it.
Except to disable you have to know where to go, and of course the default is the option that benefits them, and hurts you.
So you have to manually go in and turn it off, knowing the majority of users won't, or even know they should.
This is the exact tactic they've used to unknowingly take millions of dollars from designers over the years when it comes to editor access by burying the notification setting, conveniently turned off by default (surprise, surprise).
They're the master of dark patterns, and enough is enough.
Before you tell me: "But Brett, AI is just a tool and will only make you better and faster."
Wake up. It's an existential threat to all creatives. Period.
I've benefited insanely from Figma and owe much of my success to them, but I've had enough.

Am proud to announce that Son of Jesse is a finalist for the 'Digital Technology' award at the Creative Bath Awards this year.
It is also great to have some agency friends and their businesses in the same category too.
Good luck to all the finalist this year :)

@layzspa your Grenada inflatible lid has been out of stock for a VERY long time. Can someone let me know if they will ever come into stock or do I have to find another solution?
@virginmedia Your live chat is awful, took me to WhatsApp and asking a million questions. I just want a new remote sent out please. Why is that so hard?
