i'm not someone who constantly switches publishing platforms, but there comes a time when it's no longer cool to publish on medium. that's why I've migrated most of my content to substack & why i will be publishing there in the future. https://t.co/mP3373dpyT
@TheUntranslated@maxdaniellawton@DeepVellum@willevans ok, help me out, guys: haven't been a lot on social media lately, but i already received my pre-ordered copy weeks ago by a trusted bookseller ... and honestly speaking, the print quality of the cover looks prettttttty bad, all blurry and washed out.
worth a tweet: frank stanford's 15,434-line epic poem "the battlefield where the moon says i love you" has finally been re-issued this april after having been out of print for about 18 years. took a while for it to make it all the way to austria from overseas, but here it is. 😃
here it is, just in time for xmas, the long awaited european re-issue of evan dara's "the lost scrapbook" by belgian publisher het balanseer. as you can see, this is an english language edition.
@attheimax hard to tell if it's a step back, but i do completely agree that amazing things certainly can be done with a typewriter & a few analogue tools, especially if you take marianne fritz into consideration: https://t.co/eyJPn9ajYa
unsurprisingly, my blog posts about lentz's "innehaben", a companion piece to "schattenfroh", & my post about the various editions of "zettel's traum" have been the top scorers so far on my medium blog.
hoping to get a few more reads on my new substack at https://t.co/C66STlHwDQ.
all my content remains free. i don’t need you to subscribe or whatever. my sole reason for doing this is to create something like a reference work for years to come. not only will i be doing more posts, i’m also expanding prev. articles.

@T0bs7 the reason it's taking me so long is fritz was intentionally butchering grammar, so most sentences are full of ambiguity, other than that it's not exactly rocket science.
btw. i have good reason to believe that this is as high as my hairline will go - transplants did the job 😆
when reading marianne fritz’s 3400 page novel “dessen sprache du nicht verstehst”, you can literally watch the seasons pass. here’s a pic showing me starting DSDNV on aug. 14th, & another one from today, dec. 23rd, 2025. i’m currently on p. 131 & amassed 14.656 words of notes.
@TheUntranslated is making it through 130 pages of this novel & understanding more than 50 % of it a heroic feat? hmm, yeah, sometimes i think it is!
is this really happening? first copies of this new edition of evan dara's lost scrapbook seem to have arrived at amazon. those who live in europe & have tried to get their hands on an english language edition for ages know that this is looong overdue. expected to ship round xmas!
