"The depth offered by this newsletter was impressive and it was great to see a piece from outside London, which really delivered on quality. There was a good chunk of data-driven info in here. I thought this was really strong."
Lovely comment by @mediavoicespod judges!
The pandemic. The cost-of-living crisis. The climate emergency. War in Europe.
These are worrying times for all of us – but especially for children and young people.
That’s why we’re funding programmes to support children’s mental health in schools across the North of Tyne. 👉 https://t.co/5Jb5w43rnW

“You could write reviews of crap Christmas films for The Guardian,” said… er… The @guardian. “Okay then,” I replied. (Thanks for publishing it @theharpsbizarre)
Giving new parents a baby box is a great way to ensure our youngsters have the best possible start in life. By investing in a child’s development, the @NorthTyneCA is laying the groundwork for them to do well at school, get a decent job and lead a fulfilling life.
It’s all part of the @NorthTyneCA focus on reducing child poverty. You can’t build a strong economy without providing security for families and giving children a good start in life.

“It's all about the North East catching up and getting ahead. We are the only Combined Authority in the entire country running a course like this"

My cousin is making a film for her degree and needs some funding. The film will be shown at the British Film Institute next July. For just £20 you'll get a digital copy of the final cut. Holly could be the next Greta Gerwig so this is a bargain! https://t.co/L8EQNYrtUV?
I can’t express how angry I am in the vandalism of the tree at #SycamoreGap.
People have had their ashes scattered there. People have proposed there. I’ve picnicked there with my wife and kids. It’s part of our collective soul.
We must bring whoever did this to justice.
@ConnectedVoiceL Or short-staffed. Get me a housekeeper and a home-school liaison officer/PA and I might have time. Fortunately our school does not expect an hour of homework a night. Yet.
Hopefully not me (my kids are 7, 5 and 3 years old). Here's yesterday:
3:15pm: School finishes; after school club starts
5:15pm: Collect older 2 children from after school club
5:30pm: Collect youngest child from nursery
6:00pm: Home; organise/supervise baths/showers
6:15pm: Wife back from work - she takes over bathtime while I cook dinner
6:55pm: Dinner time
7:35pm: Dinner finishes, begin bedtime routine
8:30pm: Lights out for younger 2; eldest reads in bed
9:00pm: Lights out for eldest
I don't see where the hour of homework fits in.
My wife (Liz Day) was the paediatrician and first medic on the scene (within 10 seconds of help being called for). And @stephwalker01 was the firefighter at #Beadnell beach: https://t.co/O6ydXK8kZo
I’m enjoying @RedHandedthepod - which I’ve only recently discovered (advertising on other podcasts works - who knew?). I’m up to episode 16 but where are episodes 1, 2 and 3? They seem to have disappeared - an example of art imitating life?
My wife isn’t on Twitter. But she’s part of the @VoiceoftheTown choir in #Newcastle and they’ve just been singing what I know as ‘The #HomeAlone Song’ on the radio. It’s beautiful: https://t.co/Ba7Uki2xgB #ChristmasSongs
