@LTFC_Dave Any further drop in value doesn't represent enough of a risk to make it not worth trying, hardly like we're desperate for cash
imagine if QPR had sold kelman after his previous dud loans, now he's a 5 mil+ player. No point taking a loss when theres still time to build value
@LTFC_Dave if their going, why would we not open the opportunity for a much higher sale? the price could double with a good loan, worked perfectly with Mcatee and Taylor, what Leicester did with Cannon etc
@LTFC_Dave Could see it being a longer process where we loan players out, they hopefully restore a bit of their value and then get rid in 6/12 months
Has the potential to look very stupid if we do a bunch of cheap deals now that end up strengthening teams competing with us
@LTFC_Dave We play unattractive direct football which 90% of this league avoid as makes your players less attractive to buy. Cornick, Naismith, Campbell, Bree all failed at their move after us as they suited our style more and couldn't adapt, doesn't mean they suddenly became bad players
@LTFC_Dave Horvath was a well-protected goalkeeper, that's not a fair comparison
The 'good reason' they're playing elsewhere is Edwards having awful judgement, as he displayed with pretty much every decision he made on players
๐จ BREAKING: Cauley Woodrow is set to have his Blackburn Rovers medical today at 8pm with personal terms and fee now agreed.
The player is set to leave #Luton and sign for Blackburn today.
#BRFC | #Rovers
This is concerning, our current squad is objectively more suited to a 3 than 4
Edward's issue wasn't 3atb, it's that for 90% of the season he played a 2 man midfield with players not capable of the role. 3-5-2 is still clearly the best set up for the players we have #LTFC
And on a back four or back three? MB: "We used them both at Wycombe and Colchester, three at the back and four. I really enjoyed playing four for the last calendar year, so if we can implement that then we absolutely will."
@LTFC_Dave Don't believe he's even started training yet (and that we'd have seen pictures otherwise). Initial press release stated he'll 'take a break then join us in January'
@LTFC_Dave Nelson started as a wide attacker against plymouth and qpr and was impressive, really don't get why edwards keeps trying him deeper think he could be one of our better forward options
