The Buffalo Bandits just lost 17-10 to the Georgia Swarm in the NLL playoffs.
This is tied for the Bandits' 2nd-largest playoff defeat in their history. The Bandits lost by 7 to the Colorado Mammoth in the 2006 NLL Finals.
Their largest defeat was losing 26-15 to the Philadelphia Wings in the 1994 NLL Finals - that was also their 1st-ever playoff loss.
Could this first-round road playoff game be a big problem for the Buffalo Bandits?
The Bandits only averaged 10 goals per game on the road this season, and have averaged just 8.3 goals per game over their last 3 road games. In their history, the Bandits are 11-15 in road playoff games.
The face the Georgia Swarm in Georgia on Saturday. Georgia averaged an NLL-best 8.67 goals per game this season, and they have the likely NLL MVP and Goaltender of the Year in Brett Dobson in between the pipes.
@jeff_gluck There have been some busy sports weekends lately. Golf, hockey, Lacrosse, NBA etc. I only saw bits of the race between other sporting events. Therefore I didn’t see wnough to vote. I agree this is a very curious drop in votes
