@MONTY1JLM @RichardJMurphy A rough guess would be between 1980 - 1989 for rates of 14%. In 1986 the average house price in the UK was around £34000 with an average wage of £8500ish (approx 4x wage). Now house price average is £260000 with average wage at £27750 (approaching 10x wage)… hardly comparable.
