I’m not sure why X @elonmusk thinks that videos of school fights and persons getting caught in machinery and dying are for me. It used to be a place I would come to be mentally stimulated through musings and writings from great minds. Now it’s violence and nudity. #leaving
Keir Starmer isn’t the first barrister PM but he is certainly the first in modern times to have had a truly stellar career before going into politics. He’s also someone who in 15 years at the Bar, practising in similar areas and after 6 years at the chambers he was a founding member of, I have never heard a bad word about. He is hugely respected. In my own interactions with him he has always been impressive. He could be a formidable PM. I am hopeful, but there is a lot to fix! Best of luck to him, all the many new MPs, and the new government
Everyone knows Labour are going to win the election, but if you’re feeling like there’s no point in voting as the outcome is a foregone conclusion, I’d like to draw your attention to something really radical that is on offer tomorrow: 1/8
@implausibleblog If you cheat in a race - you normally get disqualified! The Conservatives will only benefit from this disingenuous propaganda!!! Why is there no consequence!!!!!!!!!!
@RogersHistory You missed out-
School revise policies, reducing expectations, to lessen the potential of parental complaints. While school standards slip.
@carolyn_Yates@naomicfisher Whether I have the evidence or not, the point still stands that the right of the majority of pupils to receive an education should override the right of the few to express themselves wherever they want.
@CandyConstantin@naomicfisher And whilst I’m doing that, what are the others doing? We are seriously not talking about 1 or 2 children. The constant interruptions and poor behaviour would destroy ALL the learning in most lessons if the minority were not sent to a reset room (where someone can then find out)!
So Sunak took £10 million from the racist Hester with one hand, but gave him contracts worth £400 million with the other . And the £10 million will be used to try to keep the Tories in power at the coming General Election. Sounds like text book government corruption - please repost if you agree
The UK has the highest retirement age in the world, the lowest pension in Europe, the longest working hours in Europe, one of the lowest minimum wages, the highest energy costs, the biggest profits, and the lowest taxes for the richest.
It all needs to change.
