As a Gen Xer, how many times have you started typing a reply to a post, gotten halfway through, and then realized you just don’t care enough to finish it?
@theonevortex@atxhodl@adam3us@roger__9000 We don't want 12% of the network rejecting our blocks. You're barking up the tree. Take it up with the nodes. 12% say they want BIP110 and 100% say they will accept BIP110
Look, Core v.30 is an insult to intelligence, degrades the network by facilitating non-monetary abuse of Bitcoin, and never had technical nor ecosystem consensus. It’s up to individuals to correct Core’s cumulative errors.
Andy Back is cooked.
Run Knots + BIP110 + DATUM + Ocean
I'm finally reading Dune. This quote, which is in the first few pages, hits hard:
"Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them."
The Iranian navy, which has been destroyed eight times, has apparently closed the Strait of Hormuz again, because the United States, for the seventh time, won the war that wasn’t a war, so now the United States has to open the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the not-war began.
The not-war began because Iran had uranium that was totally, completely, beautifully obliterated, so they can’t build the nuclear bomb they weren’t building, which is why the United States had to start the not-war it definitely didn’t start.
Now the United States, which has nuclear weapons, is threatening to use nuclear weapons to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, because nuclear weapons are far too dangerous for countries with nuclear weapons to allow other countries to have.
If the United States saw the United States doing what the United States does in other countries, the United States would invade the United States to liberate the United States from the tyranny of the United States.

Exactly 15 years ago today when Bitcoin was trading at $15, Hal Finney said:
"Every day that goes by and Bitcoin hasn't collapsed…increases the chance of Bitcoin's eventual success and justifies a higher price."
If you don’t own Bitcoin, it’s probably not a money problem.
Bitcoin is not too expensive. It’s an understanding problem.
If you understood Bitcoin, you would own it.
It's that simple.
Because the government isn't trying to "help" bring TV prices down.
Nobody is subsidizing TV purchases, guaranteeing TV loans, restricting TV construction, protecting inefficient producers, or burying manufacturers under layers of bureaucracy.
Companies are largely free to compete, innovate, automate, and drive costs down while improving quality.
The industries with the worst affordability crises tend to be the ones where government intervention is the heaviest. Not a coincidence.
