It’s actually hilarious how people rewrite history when it comes to this.
Lady Gaga didn’t make that song before the allegations, she made it in 2013, years after R. Kelly’s highly publicized 2008 trial. She even actively defended the collab, saying they bonded over “untrue things” being written about them lmao.
She only scrubbed it in 2019 because the Surviving R. Kelly doc dropped, the PR backlash hit critical mass, and it became a career liability. She milked the collab to be edgy and controversial and then played dumb about it later on.
Meanwhile, the exact same people giving her a pass will endlessly screech about anyone working with Dr. Luke, someone who wasn’t even found guilty and was accused by a fatherless, talentless high school dropout who in all likelihood fabricated a story to get out of a contract she regretted signing lol.
