Counterpoint—the German education system sorts this out from a young age, unlike the US where we move every kid through the same school curriculum. They get sorted into academic, intermediate, vocational and comprehensive from a young age. We could benefit immensely from this yet we are concerned about eliminating AP and gifted tracks, and look where it’s gotten us in higher ed.
