One person is dead after a fire broke out at a three-storey mixed-use building near 132 Avenue and 82 Street in northeast Edmonton last night.
Fire crews were called to the scene at 9:19 p.m., with the building housing businesses on the ground floor and apartments on the two floors above.
The entire building was evacuated and 11 fire crews responded, with between eight and 10 ambulances also dispatched to the scene.
It has not yet been confirmed how many people were injured, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
