Just seen the Chelsea score… the league this year is dreadful, quality wise. Premier league has gone backwards, first time since the Leicester season where there hasn’t been one top draw team. There’s no way THIS Liverpool team beat any team since Leicester to a league title.

[Tom @tomcayless_]

Looking at that UCL table, football is lacking real top quality globally. None of the supposed top teams within Europe would get anywhere near that of the City, Madrid, Bayern or Barcelona from the last decade. It’s really bad.

Once you realise there’s more to life than sport, there’s no going. I used to be so invested into football etc but when you realise there’s bigger stuff out there it really does open your perspective.

[Tom @tomcayless_]

people still watch MOTD? Brother the goals are on this app 10 seconds after they happen and highlights are on YouTube 30 minutes after the game…

The whole Real Madrid situation is an absolute embarrassment from top to bottom. There’s no way on earth Madrid can play the victim card in any respect. Jokers.

Tonight’s the night he gets his flowers. Best in the world. #BallonDor

Rodri, so deserved. Once again utterly immense all half. Simply so so good. 💐

[Tom @tomcayless_]

@GaryBatesJnr yep, i don’t see the problem at all.

The Tuchel appointment is brilliant, absolutely brilliant. And for anyone caring that it’s a German, please get in the bin.

[Tom @tomcayless_]

You don’t deserve to win anything the way they play.

Incredible business by City, getting that much for Alvarez is brilliant.

If you want change, then don’t vote for Labour or Conservative.

Sack Gareth Southgate tonight and wing the rest of the tournament. It genuinely cannot get worse.

[Tom @tomcayless_]

not even against Trent right back, unless it’s against Mbappe. Walkers been bad this season.

[Tom @tomcayless_]

Pickford. Walker, Stones, (all the rest are shit), Shaw. Rice, Foden, Bellingham. Gordon, Kane, Palmer.

argument for Foden out left, and Wharton or Mainoo in midfield if you want to be conservative with it.

@David_Ornstein @TheAthleticFC good news
