It seems that since the market isn't moving much, people get bored and feel the need to talk about anything.
Let's clarify this once and for all.
First of all, I have nothing to hide and the information was disclosed.
Second, thereโs nothing wrong with promoting a solid project you believe looks bullish for the next few weeks and that you hold. The Polkadot team contacted me, I took the offer, and disclosed it with #grant, which is valid for indicating a payment made by the projectโs treasury. I was going to post about it anyway, so this didn't change anything.
Third, I havenโt promoted anything since January 2022 (https://t.co/xUeMoPjVgL). I have received offers for exorbitant amounts, but not believing in the project nor holding the token, I have rejected each and every one of them until now because it is not within my ethical or moral code. When market conditions change and I become bearish again, I will do the same thing. That is called dignity.
Marketing is a standard practice. It helps with growth and adoption. Every single company spends money on marketing. In crypto, it's often seen negatively because many bad actors have done undisclosed paid shills for new and questionable projects, as well as pump and dump schemes. This has tainted the space and is something that needs attention.
I shouldnโt have to justify myself when doing nothing wrong, but this time it was necessary because some people started making unfounded accusations. People who appreciate your work are happy for your achievements. Those who feel bad about themselves and feel some envy will always find something to criticize.
Thank you for your understanding.
