He decided to stick with his team through ups and downs. They said he was wrong.
He said he wanted to win the Championship on his own way. They said it was impossible.
He is a World Champion. They said he wouldn't.
Proved everyone wrong. Congratulations, Lando 🫶🏻
@scyhodotcom DYKWIM is my favourite song and the one that got me into oasis. Hearing it live for the first time at Oasis's homecoming gig on the 11th July will never be topped.
Loved reading so many beautiful tributes from the boxing community for Ricky Hatton. Here are some of my thoughts on why we love him so much…
Ricky didn’t just win belts; he won hearts. He didn’t just unify titles; he unified people.
While other great British champions commanded loyalty from fans, they also faced waves of haters.
Ricky was different. His humility, despite his greatness, made him a champion EVERY working-class fan could see themselves in.
Win or lose, we admired him always for daring to be great. Chasing his dreams no matter how fierce the competition was. The man had balls the size of Manchester.
And as special as he was, he never behaved like he was above anyone else which really is part of the magic that made us love him.
For me, he’s the most loved British fighter of all time for these reasons and more.
Legends never die 💙
