Kimmel’s hateful and violent rhetoric is intended to divide our country. His monologue about my family isn’t comedy- his words are corrosive and deepens the political sickness within America.
People like Kimmel shouldn’t have the opportunity to enter our homes each evening to spread hate.
A coward, Kimmel hides behind ABC because he knows the network will keep running cover to protect him.
Enough is enough. It is time for ABC to take a stand. How many times will ABC’s leadership enable Kimmel’s atrocious behavior at the expense of our community.
.@hakeemjeffries just insisted that @DrOz is "unqualified".
Just a quick fact check for the minority leader:

Obama made you buy health insurance; Biden temporarily subsidized premiums, with $24B yearly to insurers. Subsidies expire in 2025, hiking costs 200-300%, a deliberate bribe. Trump didn’t create this, Obama did. And Biden temporarily expand the subsidies in 2021, not to help you, it’s to buy votes in 2022 and 2024, now the election is over, your bill goes up, but their donors still getting paid. It's a cash pipeline to donors like UnitedHealthcare, Pfizer and Blue Cross; politicians gridlock elsewhere but not here. You're the hostage, they win, you lose.
This is insanity. Let’s just keep going back and forth and forget that air traffic in this country is systematically being closed because people can’t get their damn paychecks. Congress needs to get its sh** together and now. Hammer out a deal and let’s move on already.
'REOPEN THE GOVERNMENT': President Trump says the administration is seeking clarity on whether SNAP can be funded in a government shutdown, but emphasizes lawyers "do not think we have the legal authority."
2013. Obama talks about how incredibly irresponsible it would be for Congress to shut down the government in order to blackmail a President into making concessions.
Be sure to pass this along to Democrats.
Today is World Psoriasis Day, it is truly unfair that a disease like psoriasis – which creates so many challenges – and additional health issues. Psoriasis Day is our opportunity to stand together to end the burdens of psoriatic disease. @NPF
I share the sadness over the East Wing demolition and I have empathy for all of those who cherish the White House as much as I do. But this @eastwingmag piece desecrates American history and does a giant disservice to its readers by wildly overstating, dramatizing, and falsely mythologizing the East Wing and Office of the First Lady. The column misstates, distorts, and conflates linkages or connection to actual events or movements of history with the East Wing or the Office of the First Lady that are simply not accurate.
Let's get a few things straight ....
1 - The East Wing was NOT ever linked in reality or symbolically to any aspect of the women's movement: not the early women’s movement, not women's suffrage and not the passage and ratification of the 19th amendment. There was NOTHING physically honoring, marking, commemorating, mentioning, or paying one iota of tribute to such a thing related to ANY political movement ANYWHERE in the East Wing of the White House (that I can recall).
2 - There was NOT a tribute or exhibit dedicated to Betty Ford or her legacy that had ANYTHING to do with her advocacy of the ERA in the East Wing. (It should be noted that the ERA was passed by Congress two years prior to Betty Ford becoming the First Lady but it was never ratified by the required number of states by the extended deadline in 1982.)
3 - In fact, as Betty Ford's own biographer explains: Mrs. Ford preferred to conduct business and do official work like write letters and make her calls from a desk in the West Sitting Hall of the residence, not in the East Wing. She kept a ceremonial desk in the EW.
4 - Betty Ford was actually forced to lobby for ratification of the ERA as a private citizen. She ultimately had to install an outside line to make calls to state legislatures and line up support from non-WH phone lines. Photos of Ford making calls on the ERA show her from her personal desk in the residence, NOT in the East Wing. Her "Don't Tread on Me" flag in pinned to that personal desk according to the photographs from the White House Historical Association.
5 - Even Eleanor Roosevelt, who made history as the first First Lady to convene reporters at the White House and hold press gaggles, did NOT hold them in the East Wing. She held them in the Treaty Room upstairs in the residence of the mansion.
6 - This author uses photographs of the EAST ROOM and describes events like 2024 Teacher of the Year Award hosted by Jill Biden in the EAST ROOM, or historic moments like the Nixon's farewell to staff which also took place in the EAST ROOM, which deceptively misrepresents the EAST ROOM's location within the WH and it's lack of connection or association with Trump's NEW ballroom project. This is CONFUSING the public or the average reader who may not understand or be aware of the fact that the EAST ROOM in NOT in the East Wing. The EAST ROOM, which contains the history that the author describes, is not being touched in this project or the demolition by President Trump. The East Room is UNTOUCHED in the White House and exists in the original structure of the mansion.
7 - The author writes "joy felt by American teachers gathered for Jill Biden’s first-ever “Teachers of the Year State Dinner” in May 2024 or whether it was the devastation felt from Pat Nixon staffers gathered in the East Room listening to then President Richard Nixon thank his staff in his farewell remarks after tendering his resignation in light of the Watergate scandal, the range of emotions filled that space."
FACT-CHECK:
THE EAST ROOM, WHERE THOSE EVENTS TOOK PLACE, IS NOT IN THE EAST WING.
THAT SPACE IS USED EVERY DAY
THAT SPACE ISN'T BEING TOUCHED.
THAT SPACE WASN'T AN ADDITION TO THE HOUSE LIKE EAST AND WEST WINGS.
THAT SPACE IS LITERALLY IN THE ORIGINAL STRUCTURE OF WHITE HOUSE.
8 - The First Lady's Office left the East Wing under Hillary Clinton, arguably one of country's and history's most accomplished feminist. Clinton kept the Social Secretary's Office and her personal correspondence secretary along with the Visitors Office in the East Wing, but her official Office of the First Lady and senior staff, who she referred to as her "WEST WING TEAM," joined her in an on office on the second floor of the West Wing. The majority of the staff of the first lady was based in suite of offices on the first floor of the EEOB, outside of the WW, EW, and the actual house. As I've also mentioned, Jill Biden's closest adviser floated moving her East Wing Office to the EEOB as well.
9 - So, when the author writes "the history inside the East Wing of the White House was a history of shared experiences between the American public and the first family, particularly the first lady," I'd love for her elaborate on that *shared* history that she is referring to because I am not clear based on this essay.
10 - She owes an explanation to readers about, what I would consider to be misrepresentations, dramatizations, and the mythologizing of the actual East Wing and the REAL work that took place there --- not just the seasonal parties or the Christmas decorations.

BALLROOM BACKLASH: Trump’s $200M ballroom sparks claims he’s “destroying” the White House. In a post on X, The White House’s Rapid Response 47 notes: Presidents in previous decades made far bigger changes — and taxpayers aren't paying for this one.
I’m guessing there are fan bases hoping we talk about their coach late on a Saturday night. The Sunday news that has followed has been swift and ruthless.
Maybe physical fitness isn’t the best topic for you to take swings at, JB. While you’re mocking others for doing pushups, Illinois’ finances, crime rates, and taxes are all out of shape thanks to your failed leadership. Time to focus on getting our state fit again not your Twitter game.
TOUCHING TRIBUTE: Berlin’s iconic Brandenburg Gate glowed with the Israeli flag and the words “Bring Them Home Now” as protesters demanded the release of all remaining hostages in Gaza.
Jon’s a busy lawyer who has dropped 40 lbs in the last 4 months.
From 230 to 190 lbs despite a high stress career that’s never slowing down.
“I feel like a whole new person.”
That’s because he’s done it the right way.
3 consistent, protein dominant meals + a progressive strength training routine.
He still enjoys the occasional date night but then locks in the rest of the week.
His biggest levers?
-Scaled back to a couple drinks per week
-Protein shake for breakfast to fit into his busy schedule
-Quick but tasty dinners like pork chops or steak on the grill + rice and asparagus
Jon’s not done yet. He’ll drop another 15 lbs over the next 2 months to get to his goal.
The harsh truth is most people have more weight to lose than they think.
They want to lose 20 or 30 lbs, but really need to lose 50+.
This takes time, but when done the right way, will ultimately put Jon in a lean frame where he can flip his primary goal to building strength long term.
