Published another paper featuring everyone’s favorite dinosaur to hate or love: #Spinosaurus! We found that evidence isn't strong enough for Spino swimming submerged underwater. Spino more likely mostly hangs out on the shore. 1/n

@Mossworm1 Hey! I really love your clam shrimp posts, these critters are absolutely adorable. I'm considering starting a small-ish freshwater tank and these funky little guys seem like a fun time to watch! Do you have any resources you would recommend for someone who wants to keep some?
We are performing a capture-mark-release-recapture study on an Ozark cave crayfish species. We want to be able to look at movement, growth, and population size in this imperiled species. Giving crayfish UV reflective tattoos is crazy business (scale in cm/mm).

Dive 645. What appears to be a nudibranch egg spiral, a polychelid homeryon asper, a primnoid coral loaded with ophiuroid brittle stars, and a flytrap anemone in a perfect hole in the rock wall. Solito Seamount off coast of Chile @SchmidtOcean#SEPacificSeamounts
@leapinlemurs83@TUExplorer1@SchmidtOcean I don't think I've ever seen something as mind-bogglingly cool as that polychelid. Thank you for highlighting this, they're lovely!
@buggydraws@BUNKlNS Onychophoran, velvet worm! They're lovely inverts that can shoot slime to capture invertebrate prey! They are believed to be closely related to tardigrades!
A mother Phronima, a type of Amphipod, keeps a close watch over the kids inside a Salp. The females attack the Salp, hollow it out, and use the inside as their personal nursery. It's amazing how the babies arrange themselves in a perfect circle inside. Blackwater dive, Florida.
