@tldrben 100% agree. It drives me crazy that these NIMBYs claim their right to Brockwell Park is more important than the 300,000+ coming to enjoy music and culture during the festivals. They are killjoys, plain and simple.
@EventBrockwell ‘Our’ park? Who is the ‘us’, in your view? Presumably it doesn’t include the 300,000 people who come to enjoy the music & vibes over the course of the festivities?
@sassy_sae@DuddridgeLloyd Except there are free festivals as part of the series, too. And the even the paid-for events are very reasonably priced in comparison to live music elsewhere. Plus, they give a massive platform for local artists - not to mention jobs and a boost to the local economy.
@GregzVR @davidleeventers @YouTube@JasonBradbury Wow, that’s a blast from the past! Great to see I’m pushing tech boundaries with a 1MP camera phone 😂 And so much faux-chrome!
I printed some "AI 6th fingers" so when you're caught on surveillance cameras at @defcon you can try to claim the footage is AI generated. Find me for one, or maybe the @torproject will sell them at their booth. https://t.co/sMcyKetI43 #defcon32#defcon2024@bristowbailey
Blah, blah, blah tax rises. I don't mind paying tax, no I like paying tax it pays for the most important things in our society. I just wish weasely wanker billionaires like this twat would pay their fair share #bbcdebate#leadersdebate
URGENT! Pls share. The last chance to register to vote in the General Election is 11.59pm tomorrow Tue 18 June. Potentially 8m aren't registered at their current address. Here's 4 key facts...
1) You can do it online here https://t.co/i4FhJoAXfK
2) It's good for your finances. Not being on electoral roll can make it more difficult to be accepted for credit products like bank accounts or mortgages.
3) You can opt out of the 'Open Register' (which allows your info to be sold on) which will stop you getting junk mail marketing )
4) You'll need ID when you do vote (not to register) if you don't have it, you can get it free until Wed 26 June https://t.co/9bfL3hw3CV
@GregzVR@BBCArchive Yes, and I had no idea how those targeted ads and rabbit holes would change the world. Who knew that Facebook would play a crucial role in the rise of populism and the decline of trust?
#OnThisDay 2007: What is the point of Facebook? So asked BBC Breakfast to Tom Dunmore (Stuff Magazine) and Jenni Trent Hughes, as awareness of social media website (founded just three years prior) was coming to the fore.
