Any @hedera dev around?? 👀
I started building Preflight, which is a scaffold-hbar template for developers, almost a month ago, and finished it up about 2 weeks ago, what this does basically, is to assist my fellow developers building HTS token onboarding and acquisition on Hedera. It lets you instantly diagnose account readiness, navigate four native association mechanisms, and execute seamless testnet token swaps through SaucerSwap using framework-free TypeScript policies and native Hiero SDK execution. Enjoy, and let me know how it goes😉😉

We teased V3 last month. Today, it’s live.
Umbra V3 is now open on @CantonNetwork DevNet.
Connect your Devnet wallets, (preferably, Loop or Console wallet). Invite dealers to compete privately. Fill your trade across one or more dealers and settle atomically.
Your wallet. Your signatures.

DevNet assets only.
Umbra cofounder breaks down the problem we’re solving, how private RFQs work, and why Canton makes this kind of market structure possible.
A quick look at what we’ve built and why it matters for institutional block trading.
I've kinda been quiet for a while, and this is why
Umbra is finally back online, and it has grown up a lot since the HackCanton S2, by @appsfactory_cc.
Went heads down for a few weeks, and I'm now glad to say that Umbra v3, while still in closed testing, now runs on canton devnet with real wallets, dealers quoting, and trades settling on-ledger without the market ever seeing them.
more on V3 soon
You might wonder why I took the step to build Umbra🫠, and thats actually as a result of what has always bugged me about web3, the moment you ask for a price on a big trade, you've already told everyone.
So I built Umbra. private quotes, atomic settlement, on @CantonNetwork .
While v3 is still in closed testing, you can try Umbra V2 here: https://t.co/xLs9vqlrlM
Big orders move markets. Unless nobody sees them.
UMBRA is a dark OTC venue on Canton. Ask only the dealers you choose, take the best firm quote, settle on-ledger. The market sees nothing.
Live on DevNet.
For a week now, I've been building for the @ETHGlobal's ethonline2026 Hackathon, as a Solo builder.
The @hedera track caught my attention, as I loved the concept of how Hedera's Asset Tokenization Studio lets an issuer mint a compliant bond. Its own documentation lists "Secondary Market Trading" as use case one for the hold primitive it ships. They built the escrow for a marketplace. The marketplace doesn't exist yet, so I built it, with the experience gathered while building @UmbraOnCanton
Sotto is a request-for-quote block-trading venue for ATS-issued securities. A bondholder puts size up for bid without moving the market.
Dealers compete under commit–reveal: during the quote window, and only `keccak256` reaches the venue, so nobody can read a price before the window closes. The window closes on a Hedera consensus timestamp rather than my server clock, so I can't quietly extend it for a favoured dealer either.
And when they do reveal, every price is recomputed against its commit, and the book is allocated on strict price priority.
An intresing thing about Sotto, is that settlement is atomic DvP in one transaction. Cash leg and security leg, both or neither.
Within that short period, i was able to integrate real $USDC, Real ATS diamond, Five contracts, every stage timestamped to a public HCS topic. Nothing minted for convenience.

Umbra placed 2nd in all three tracks at the HackCanton Season 2 Grand Final. 2nd in cBTC, 2nd in cETH, and 2nd overall.
Judges called it "the strongest settlement proof in the whole cohort."
Here's what we built👇
Umbra was a solo build, One person trying to prove you could settle real $cBTC against real $cETH, privately and atomically on Canton. It ended up 2nd across all three tracks. Plenty of late nights, a couple of moments I nearly quit, and worth every one of them. Thanks Noders.
This is the one I almost gave up on thrice. Debugging real cross-issuer settlement at 3am, solo the whole way.
Wednesday it goes on stage at the HackCanton final.

Umbra is a Grand Finalist in HackCanton S2!
Judges called it "the strongest settlement proof in the whole cohort", real $cBTC, $cETH and $CC settling atomically across issuers, no stablecoin leg.
Private OTC block trades. Dealers quote blind. The ledger never leaks.
Spent the last few weeks building a dark OTC venue on Canton.
2 dealers price the same block and neither can see the other's quote, not by convention, but because the ledger refuses to send it.
This is just v1. v2 settles real $cBTC,$CC and $cETH atomically. That one lands soon
Here is Umbra V2 as promised.
Real cBTC ↔ cETH settling atomically on Canton — BitSafe and onRails, two issuers, one indivisible transaction. Every step signed by each party's own key.
V3 is already in the works: any Canton wallet, no custom DAR vetting. Lands very soon👀.
@BitSafe_Finance@OnRailsFinance 2/
Why v2 matters?
→ Real assets from three different issuers, settling across issuers in one indivisible transaction.
→ Self-custody — the venue coordinates, but can never forge a signature or move your funds.
Live on DevNet. Not mocked.
@BitSafe_Finance@OnRailsFinance 3/
What's next? v3.
Umbra's swaps now speak the standard CIP-56 AllocationRequest interface. Any compliant Canton wallet can read and sign our trade legs directly, no custom DAR vetting.
The groundwork for user-held wallet signing is in. v3 makes it live. Hang on tight!! 👀
Umbra v2 is live.
Real cross-issuer settlement, not mocks: $cBTC @BitSafe_Finance , $cETH @OnRailsFinance and Canton Coin ($CC ) swap in one atomic CIP-56 transaction. No stablecoin intermediary needed. No operator custody. Each party signs with its own key.
