@gtconway3d George, the false equivalency “weaponization” folks are out there with stuff like “You lefties are up in arms now that the shoe is on the other foot.” Not that it will do any good, but what’s an effective reply?
Bedtime reading before Election Day tomorrow - the new John Lewis biography. In Alabama and in our country, may we always choose hope, love, freedom, and democracy.
A great example of the fake narratives of voter fraud being spread: 53 people registered at one address--must be fraud. Except it's not. It's Benedictine nuns. But you don't see the truth being spread as vigorously as the falsehood that proceeded it. https://t.co/4YJJ7GTXow
Watching my old Republican friends attack General Kelly is such a lesson in character.
You start out saying you have to vote for Trump because of Hillary Clinton and wake up one day attacking General Kelly to defend a criminal wandering around the country talking about Arnold Palmer’s penis.
NEW: Today’s court order requiring Rudy Giuliani to place most of his possessions, cash, and even his NYC apartment in receivership for the two GA election workers to whom he owes $148 million reminds us what the Big Lie has cost its most avid mouthpieces. 1/
If your response to Gen John Kelly, gold star father & Trump’s WH chief of staff, confirming that Trump praised Hitler & called members of our military “suckers and losers” is to defend Trump, you need to look in the mirror and realize your dishonor will live forever.
This fool just blabbed his private conversation with Netanyahu at a rally, causing the Israeli government to issue a statement to clarify their position and contradict what he disclosed.
"The sin here is not that Kamala Harris had the good sense to reply, "No thank you, I'm previously engaged."
The real scandal is that the good Catholic cardinal of the great city of New York would not have the courage to say, this year, that the current Republican candidate is a walking example of so much the Catholic Church finds repugnant in today's politics that he would suspend the normal invitations."

National Catholic Reporter on the Al Smith Dinner:
"The real outrage is that Trump, given the public nature and extent of his repulsive record, should be invited to a fundraiser for an organization, Catholic Charities, that has long worked in the trenches to save and transform lives on society's farthest margins. It is tragic that the guest of honor this year will be someone whose personal example and policy wishes are in a collision course with the principles of Catholic social teaching." https://t.co/ZhgzC92qvh
With all of @realDonaldTrump’s wild narcissistic and sociopathic ramblings, and his obviously deteriorating cognition and physical state, it’s easy to forget some basic, indisputable facts:
1. He’s already a convicted felon.
2. He still faces dozens of other serious criminal charges.
3. Hundreds of people have been convicted and imprisoned for what he caused them to do on January 6, 2021.
4. If any of us had taken the secret and highly sensitive national-defense documents he took home after leaving office and then lied to and tried to hide them from the DOJ, we’d already be serving lengthy terms of incarceration.
BREAKING: Donald Trump gets publicly humiliated as the former Chair of the Florida Republican Party reveals that he voted for Kamala Harris by absentee ballot to "preserve our Republic."
Even Republicans see how awful Trump is...
"I voted for Kamala Harris and I did so to preserve our republic," said Al Cárdenas in a video with his wife Anna Navarro. "My vote was cast this year not so much on policy issues, although I would have cast the same vote."
"It was based on preserving our democracy, respecting our institutions, being compassionate towards others, eliminating the damaging rhetoric towards immigrants," he went on. "A whole lot of good reasons I voted for Kamala Harris."
"But I have to admit the main reason was because I did not want Donald Trump sitting at the White House running our country," he added.
"Well you just made a good choice right along with your wife," responded Navarro, herself a Republican strategist.
During an appearance on MSNBC, Cárdenas further explained his decision. He said one big reason he voted for Democrats this election is because of the response to national disasters.
"That's always been a bipartisan issue. Both Democrats and Republicans have worked together to assist the people in harm's way," said Cárdenas. "Well, you know the White House asked Congress to pass a bill, a supplemental bill, to really help people with these disasters because we may be running out of cash."
"All of a sudden the trolling, the Trump operatives and everybody else, starting saying 'well they're giving that money to illegal immigrants.' Not true!" he continued. "There are various parts of FEMA that are funded separately and national disasters is one of them."
"Well, you know when [Hurricane Andrew] hit Florida which has been one of many, I worked hand in hand with the George H. W. Bush administration and the Democrat Governor Lawton Chiles," he said. "It was always a bipartisan spirit. Everyone wanted to help those in harm's way."
"Well, you take it now, you know, the Trump operatives are already lying about FEMA not having resources, about FEMA not going over," he went on. "When the White House asked the Congress to meet for a supplemental bill — to pass a supplemental bill for FEMA — they said call us after November 5th. That's something that just does not have a precedent."
"The second one was with immigration," said Cárdenas. “You know, it was so hard to get a bipartisan bill put together in order to stop the intrusions at the border but oh no, Trump had to tell the Republicans not to pass it because it was not in his best interest!"
