@MooseAllain In Sans Sebastian I tried to impress our young waiter with some Spanish and find out his age by asking “Quantos Anos?”. To the great delight of surrounding diners he raised a single finger and said “Unos”. I had asked him how many anuses he had!
@harrisondale88 I don’t think it was a penalty. But law doesn’t clarify situation when players head is below shoulders when hackaling, hitting above shoulders phrase in law is ambiguous - does it mean above in relation to ground or wrt players body i.e. head is above shoulders.

New Jazz
Playtime : Morse Code Through the Lights : 2024
This album was recorded during lockdown with an incredible lineup of international guest artists.
Stylistically it reminds me of Bitches Brew and A Silent Way by Miles Davis.
When live performances paused, Playtime kept the music alive by hosting their legendary Thursday sessions online, bringing together musicians from around the globe. Despite the challenges of isolation, the band collaborated with renowned talents like trumpeters Laura Jurd and Byron Wallen, saxophonists Denys Baptiste and Iain Ballamy, Dutch cellist Ernst Reijseger, vibraphonist Corey Mwamba, and the dynamic Japanese duo Satoko Fujii & Natsuki Tamura.
The result? Fourteen hours of stunning music, with select tracks featured on the new album.
The album is released nationally in October, but you can get exclusive early copies from the link below.

"This was a hate rally. This was not just a presidential rally, this was not just a campaign rally. I think it's important for people to understand these are mini January 6 rallies, these are mini Stop the Steal rallies." -@aoc@repaoc on Trump's New York City rally
Subscribed to @washingtonpost in 2016 after Trump won when they had the ‘Democracy Dies in Darkness’ banner. Subscription cancelled today. Ben Bradlee and Katherine Graham turning in their graves. Shame on you all.
My @Channel4News report on Israel’s relentless pounding of northern Gaza. It took a remarkably brave and persistent cameraman to get these pictures out to us. The world cannot say that it didn’t see. Or know. https://t.co/6NY4bDjw8l
Alice Coltrane on John Coltrane’s writing process for “A Love Supreme”:
“It was so interesting, when John created “A Love Supreme”. He had meditated that week. I almost didn't see him downstairs. And it was so quiet! There was no sound, no practice! He was up there meditating, and when he came down he said, "I have a whole new music!" He said, "There is a new recording that I will do, I have it all, everything." And it was so beautiful! He was like Moses coming down from the mountain. And when he recorded it, he knew everything, everything.”
“He said this was the first time that he had all the music in his head at once to record.”
I write with a heavy heart that my cousin Sama, 7 years old, has been killed in the air strike on their house along with 18 members of her family, which is my extended family.
In the house was the grandmother, Fatima, who was my grandmother’s sister. She was killed too with two of her daughters and their children.
I posted about this yesterday before the house was bombed. I told everyone that tanks and soldiers were besieging the area. But no one heard. No one did anything to save them.
I took this picture of Sama in June 2022.. it was Eid.
One week from today, I will be taking the bandstand at the "Jazz for Kamala" benefit concert.
The show will start at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 20th, at Le Poisson Rouge, NYC.
