Today I made Teija miss her hair appointment so I’m not in her good books lol so I hired Mali to help me out.
She had ONE job! 😂🤦🏾♂️

This Labour government seems to be labouring under the massive misapprehension that everyone who sends their kids to private school or runs a farm is stinking rich.
They’re not.

It is during difficult times that true friends are known; when things are really tough is when those who truly care can be identified.
[Difficult times can be useful: they help identify those who truly care]
Don’t allow your desire for comfort blind you to the value of someone’s character.
Most people are going to tell you to stop being so picky.
Don’t listen to them!
The higher your standards, the harder it is for people to get into your life.
The harder it is for people to get into your life, the higher quality of life you will have.
No relationship is perfect, that’s one thing that I think we can all agree on. So when there’s a breakdown of communication, what can you do to get back on track?
The best way to begin communicating again is to not talk about actions, but talk about feelings.
You can talk about what you or your partner has done until you’re blue in the face, but if you’re not addressing the feelings behind those actions you won’t be getting anywhere.
When we communicate openly and honestly with our partner, when we share our feelings with our partner, it helps build trust and intimacy. Effective communication allows us to express our needs and concerns in a way that is respectful and clear, which can lead to finding a solution that works for both partners.
Feelings can’t be denied, and if you can keep your focus on that your relationship will grow stronger.
Overall, communication is a critical aspect of any healthy and successful relationship — romantic or otherwise. Without it, misunderstandings and conflicts can arise and when ignored or not approached with compassion these conflicts can cause damage to the relationship over time.
…And because I know you’re going to ask, the blazer is by @LabrumLondon 😉
I waited to comment on this because a part of me wanted to believe there was some missing piece of the story that would explain why it looked so wrong. There wasn't. And this happened ages ago with no apology until this clip went viral. Good on @Simone_Biles 🏅

“Don’t allow a job or work environment stress you or worry you to death because that job will most likely be posted and advertised online before your obituary”.
When I worked with abusive men, I saw the difference between the men who had family & friends who challenged their abusive behavior and those who didn't. Having a friend who said, "don't act like that toward her" could make all the difference in the world....🧵

No one can be so wealthy as to own the horn of a horse (since horses don't have horns). [No one has (nor indeed can have) it all: contentment is it; human wants are insatiable: we all, without exception, will always have unsatisfied wants.]
