Yes this was created in Java.
Yes it will be moddable.
Yes there are caves
Yes there are colored lights
Yes there are mirrors
Yes there are much lower graphics settings (hundreds of graphics settings)
Yes you can create/edit your own blocks/items/NPcs

Quick question: If Minecraft made you actually transport the blocks with physics, instead of holding them in inventory and then placing them wherever, what would be the best way to transport them?

Today’s big update:
Physics!!
This will delay alpha, as I’m completely changing the game. No longer can you pick up blocks as inventory items. But, you can literally pick them up. And throw them, and stack them. And nail them together.

Better multiplayer code, still not perfect
Procedurally generated branches on trees

Progress today: added a bunch of environmental effects
Dozens of different configurable shaders
Crappy fishing system (lol), as with all systems; will be improved
3rd person is getting better. Not there yet though.

Not too much. Added a fuckton of shaders, graphical tweaks, etc, all configurable
Improvements to cell phones (text messaging, UI), more to come including a weather app
Next up: leaves change with the season, falling leaves, actual snow, etc
