@thomasforth @geoeverything I agree that is poorly worded as it not clear whether it is refering to the age the average person dies at or the average of all ages when people die. I haven't come across lifespan inequality before, but that might help explain what you were originally describing?

@thomasforth @geoeverything This means that the comparaively smaller number of people dying at 25 will not skew the results and is not equal to extending the life of 100 elderly people by a year if they are below life expectancy

@thomasforth @geoeverything Might be interpreting what you have said wrong, but I think you are calculating life expectancy incorrectly. Life expectancy is the age at which 50% of the population dies, not the average age at which people die
