โIf you are grateful, you are enjoying the differences between people, and you are respectful to everybody, and that changes this power pyramid under which we live.โ - David Steindl-Rast #grateful
โโฆ if you're grateful, you're not fearful, and if you're not fearful, you're not violent. If you're grateful, you act out of a sense of enough and not of a sense of scarcity, and you are willing to share. 1/2
I can say strong things in defense of women in ministry. I can also rip back the curtain and show you why these debates happen like clockwork, and how the leadership benefits from them. My column in @rns https://t.co/1kPtGQ8p9S
When the early church proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus, they didnโt take people to see the empty tomb. They pointed to the beloved community that Christ makes possible. I know that Jesus lives b/c there are still communities & that wouldnโt exist if this story werenโt true.
As we enter into this new year, we invite you to continue to worship God who became flesh and lived among us, full of grace and truth. Our college students will lead us in worship today through music, reflections, and prayer.
