@TheRealJamieKay It is ironic that you first passed over Leviticus 19:18. Additionally, your ahistorical tweet misses a vital point: a modern society can either have welfare or open immigration but it cannot have both.
@BenGunnEx@DallasNYorker@OurShallowState The North Warning System has reached end of life. The Americans rely on satellite information to protect - check my notes - North America, which includes the US and Canada. My point was that you are talking out of your ass.
@marissenmark HST on top of gasoline tax is regressive. Gasoline and diesel are necessities in Canada. We should not be applying a sales tax to a necessity, which coincidently increasing in value to the government as the price of the commodity increases. We could save $0.20 per litre there.
@matt_kercher Mulroney put 30% up for sale in 1991. Chretien sold another 51% in 1995. And Martin sold 19% in 2004. But tell me more about how the Conservatives alone sold off Petro Canada.
@Jason___YYC The privatization process began under Mulroney. Chrétien sold off another chunk in 1995 and Martin sold off the remainder in 2004. But do go on with your narrative.
@Victorziuq@DrJacobsRad@MayorOliviaChow@bnaibrithcanada@CIJAinfo@UJAFederation There have been no verified attacks on Jewish people in Canada by the Hells "angles". The HA primarily attack other biker gangs and are involved in crimes associated with organized crime. The HA are predominantly white but not exclusively so. See Greg "Picasso" Woolley in MTL.
@j4zb4@gordo_10001@generalthemoon 80%+ of the citizens in each nation live in urban centres. Therefore, the vast majority of Australians pay less for cellular service than Canadians. But sure, Bill in the Northern Territories has slower service than Steve in Rocky Harbour, Nfld.
@j4zb4@gordo_10001@generalthemoon Australia has a lower population density yet their cell phone prices are 25-33% cheaper. Unlike Canada, which only recently allowed more competition, Australia has a massive market of competitors (100+). Canada is getting better but still has a ways to go.
@TriggerinLibs@gator_gum I'm not wishing for the collapse of the US dollar. I'm simply explaining why the price of gas is so high. Our exchange rate is in the toilet. In 2008 it was $1 USD : $1 CAD. If our economy was more competitive then the price of gas would be lower.
