Your mind is a garden, your thoughts are the seeds, you can either grow flowers or you can grow weeds!
“he neither bent with the wind nor broke with the waves”.
Donated a pint of blood on 23rd July, the pint of blood was used today 28th July.....that will tell you the shortage that is out there with the quick turn around....donate if you are able,it is quick, easy and painless 😉
Today marks 35 years since a nineteen-year-old Irish lad scored this belter from outside the box at Carrow Road.
Six months earlier, he had cost Nottingham Forest just £47,000 from Cobh Ramblers.
His name was Roy Keane.
Looks a player, him.
12 months ago, we found the club , coaching 30 deaf children, 12 months on we have 380 children actively playing , no boots , socks or shorts, most of the children play bare foot and the skills have improved immeasurably @MunsterGAA @
Hello @grok
Do you know who was the most famous person (with the most followers) who visited my profile? They don’t have to be mutual. Don’t tag them, just say who it was
40 grand to rent Wembley Stadium in 1985. When Harvey Goldsmith booked it, he only had The Boomtown Rats and Ultravox confirmed for Live Aid eight weeks later. 😁
Eight years ago, we were still just starting out.
No real branding.
No budget for a stand.
No team to help with setup.
But we had an opportunity: a small space by the main entrances at the F1 After-Race Concerts — and I wasn’t going to let it go.
We used the same flimsy Lovin Dubai tent we had dragged out the week before at the Rugby 7s.
It had no base and barely held up in the wind.
On the first day, the organizers — used to working with multinational brands — politely told me: “The Lovin Dubai activation doesn’t look great.”
We had no activation team, no flashy setup.
Just me, standing there with a clipboard, trying to collect email addresses.
By day three, the wind finished the job — the tent collapsed and had to be packed away.
Fast forward to today.
This weekend, we partnered with Theory Eleven for the first-ever Off Limits Festival.
Our team had a full activation with a “Spin the Wheel” game that had long lines all day.
We had prime main stage branding.
We had a team on the ground.
We had presence.
It’s a reminder:
We were underprepared back then, but the lessons from those early days made these ones possible.
And the best part?
We got to put Lovin’ — our modern, growing media brand — right in front of a young, vibrant Abu Dhabi audience.
Perhaps the greatest Mick O’Dwyer photo of them all - Pádraig Kennelly’s 1959 @Kerrys_Eye shot of Micko behind the wheel with Sam Maguire safely secured as they roll into Valentia after Mick O’Connell captained Kerry to the county’s 19th All-Ireland SFC title.
Bono pays tribute to EJ.
Produced by the team at Whisper. Many of whom have worked with EJ for years from right back on the BBC days. This one was personal…
Genius from @a_game_films and Sam Pendergast . Incredible play for the team. Bring the ball into contact, bring in the opposition players, offload the ball to a teammate..
We’re deeply saddened by the news that our supporter, Denis Law, has died with dementia. We’ll be forever grateful that Denis and his family raised not only money for Alzheimer’s Society, but a great deal of awareness too. Our thoughts are with all his friends and family 💙
