@nofal57142 In the famous fighting scene, Leon turned his back to Ada twice to pick up his gun on the ground. That was almost unprofessional for a well-trained agent when facing someone not disarmed. It showed his full trust in Ada.
@lesbianakins That makes the relationship of Aeon more revealing in og, but with little depth. Remakes storytelling is more biased to the Japanese style. Characters are reserved. Directors wish gamers to feel the tension and emotional struggle via body language and facial expressions.
@lesbianakins The Aeon relation and character setup in OG were based on stereotypes of heroes and spies in Hollywood movies. The personality was flatter and more straightforward. In og4, you could barely feel Leon was affected by the night in Racoon City and the spiritual linkage of Aeon.
@samgidd1ngs “Trying to attribute all of that success to Aeon”…..I can only see you struggle with reading and comprehension. No more meaning of communication.
Re2r has the highest sale among the remakes, proving how much people enjoy the Aeon story depicted in the game (Claire saving Sherry too). Now you say Capcom wants to fix the mistake? The mistake of selling too many copies?
Hot take:
Capcom had cold feet with Leon and Claire being a thing and now with the remakes being the new timeline, they want to fix that mistake.
It's why they haven't confirmed Leon's wife, the subtle hints of Claire with Requiem, and the upcoming Veronica Remake.
@Fitzgeraldz1pl More emotions from Alexia to Alfred in darkside chronicles after she woke up, not as many as in the original version. I actually like the old version better. I feel that cruelty fits her somehow, considering she almost perfectly took in T Veronica which might change her utterly.
Based on the conversation btw Leon and Sherry, they didn’t share thoughts of the RC night before the tour of finding Elpis. At certain points I even feel his tone to Sherry an itty bitty harsh. Re9 doesn’t give me the impression that Sherry is in the circle of his private life.
Leon not married to Claire, it’s sensible that he doesn’t know Chris’ team. If Leon and Claire were a couple, things would change. HWS members are not just coworkers of Chris, they are people having a bond with Chris forged through life-and-death experiences.
i don't think it's meant to be taken THAT seriously anon ppl are just having fun theorizing. like chris and leon are a lot closer in fanon than canon. they're nice ppl tho, so maybe. u never know

But I have to agree with you. Requiem is based on remakes, i.e re2r, in which the interactions between Leon and Claire are largely reduced. They now have their more independent stories.
