@KTheivendran I couldn't agree more. The way health data standards are being approached now just isn't working. We need to move the focus to architecting how data is modelled at source, regardless of use case and access (e.g. FHIR). Only that will enable effective intereoperability

@EllissBrookes @NHS @gs1uk Well, theoretically they forgot the accents, but I don't think I ever write my name in that way anymore because it just get too complicated to explain. So best stick to the basics... No "h" after the "T", no hyphen between the surnames. And they got that absolutely right 😁

@vasileiosAnton @peterbjordan Indeed. When I was still @ONS we started the Taxonomy Oversight Group together with CDDO @cabinetofficeuk to try to standardise some of these. Unfortunately ethnicity wasn't part of the initial effort as is noticeably tricky to get right.

@MarkHumphries6 The saddest thing of all this is that this data is then used to create stats that are used for policy, and yet nobody takes the creation and maintenance of taxonomies seriously. This is of course not exclusive to my kids' school...
