@WritingByMatt Hi Matt. Bangkok is my 2nd home as my wife is from there. Every time I use a taxi at BKK without her, they try to charge me 900bht to our apartment by Sathorn. After 3 attempts they will use the meter and it is 400bht including tolls. 80% do this.
@markxdavies@RedLionBarnes The most wonderful commentator I listened to growing up. So many classic moments. I hope he’s enjoying his well earned retirement.
Euro 96 started 30 years ago tomorrow.
One of my favourite summers ever.
The opening titles on the BBC and ITV always played a huge part in giving a tournament its own character and helping to create memories that last a lifetime.
Here they are back-to-back, with the BBC first…
STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN was released 44 years ago today. Acclaimed as the best entry in the Star Trek film series, and featuring one of the biggest movie deaths, the story behind the scenes doesn’t believe in no-win scenarios…

@piersmorgan@_DeclanRice Remember our Treble season @piersmorgan? Dwight Yorke was phenomenal and scored some big goals in big games (29 in total)! He should’ve won it, but it went to David Ginola for scoring a few worldies. It doesn’t always happen.
There are places we pass through in life… and there are places that become part of who we are.
Manchester will forever be my home.
To the city, the club, and every supporter, my sincerest thank you. These past four years have been unforgettable, filled with moments my family and I will carry with us for the rest of our lives. There simply aren’t enough words to describe the happiness and warmth we’ve felt here.
Thank you for every cheer, every memory, and for making us feel at home from the very first day.
Forever a Red Devil ❤️
Passengers on a commercial flight captured the launch of Artemis II on camera
The plane happened to pass near the launch trajectory at the exact moment of liftoff, giving passengers a rare view of the rocket launch right from their windows.
The introductory scene in Hitchcock's 'Frenzy' is a marvellous view over 70s #London before the major developments we recognise today. Before the death of the docks and the birth of the modernised 'city'. If you love London, you'll want to see this. A few locations in this film appear on one of the @PubHistoryTours. Personally, I prefer this view to what we have today. 🤝
Wolfen is the forgotten 80s werewolf movie, and it's great. Here, the “wolves” are a hyper-intelligent species that have lived alongside humans for centuries. The film also helped pioneer thermographic predator POV. James Horner reused his score in a sci-fi classic you might know
🤩 "Wild celebrations, an unbelievable strike!"
