@oliver_moran Thank you for the update, still think we are missing the easy solution, close OPS and all adjacent roads immediately until Sept/ Oct, let restaurants when they open use the streets, let them fit sun/ rain sails across the streets, and create an outside usable area

@TerryTshannon Any chance the people of turners cross/ cork city and the south douglas road could get access to Tramore Valley park via Half Moon Lane, one rule for some another rule for others!

@conndonovan9 It’s ok, believe this or not, I was told (by email) from a councillor that Half Moon Lane would not serve Ballyphehane or that environs! Imagine that, we are a full 4-5 years away from getting proper pedestrian access, until there is another local election!

@kevinmac74 @sendboyle @TramorePark @corkcitycouncil @NRAIreland @RSAIreland The @corkcitycouncil will wait until somebody is killed and then solve the problem, 8 years ago on their masterplan, there was 4 proposed gates off the south douglas rd, 1 out 4 completed and the rest are years away from being sorted, lack of management and leadership

@sendboyle Not surprised at all, the @corkcitycouncil are sitting on this problem with 8 yrs and now more than ever do we access, having lived with a dump for 40 plus years surely at this stage the people living next to the park should be given proper access, nothing short of incompetence

@sendboyle @irlchrism The costs to create a pedestrian entrance in comparison to building the new car park, all the new entrances could have been built at a fraction of the costs to build the car park in the park. So costs are not the issue,

@sendboyle @irlchrism Thank you Dan, but 8 yrs to organise a proper pedestrian access, and I don’t believe for a min the funds to create an entrance at greenhills/ heatherton is the issue, I believe there is political interference and some councillors are not properly representing their constituents

Asking the same question on access for 7-8 years,! No reply!
