@Charles_SEO Content & context > links for EEAT imo. Ex:
Lawyer with 1000 links; says he’s the best lawyer in Miami.
Lawyer with 2 links; says he’s the best choice for a lawyer because his experience includes xy&z, and he’s won on 99/100 cases over 40 million dollars.
Lawyer #2 will win.
@irakli_zv@Nick_zv_ You’re gonna need more than just the keyword in the headers and URL to rank #1. Personally think you just need it in the h1, title and URL. The rest is up to content & UX.
Question for the SEO a community:
As an SEO manager, should you be responsible for making your updates to the website?
Or do you send those to a website manager/dev person?
@MrJohnLobb Technically anyone can come in and set their budget to 100k/month and expect to get all the leads. Think google is trying to prevent that by penalizing it.
@MrJohnLobb I turned mine up from 2k/week to $6.5k/week. Surprisingly weekly calls dropped for 3 consecutive weeks (we were overspending on the 2k but barely spending 1k at 6.5k)
Turned it down to 4.5k/week, no calls for 4 days, then 1.8k week one.
@Nick_zv_ Have seen case studies showing matching title, H1, and URL gets higher rankings in which case the bad here would be good.
Have a few tests rolling now but too soon for conclusions.
@jakobgreenfeld Managing a team of 5 and this is the biggest thing needed to drill in them. Just do it. Let it be wrong and do it again to make it better. Just keep it moving.
Too many scared to not be perfect.
@Splittestingcom It makes sense as a traffic source, if you can afford the investment and monetize the traffic in a profitable way.
Being in the trenches, I see sites ranking position one in traditional organic, getting under 1% CTR.
