Anthropic now has a team dedicated to AI and the rule of law — and we've just opened our first role.
@AnthropicAI has studied what AI means for the economy. This team asks a different question: what will it mean for executive power, for courts and elections — and for the public deliberation that constitutional democracy ultimately rests on?
We're looking for someone with real depth in both AI and the law — a legal scholar, political scientist, or experienced government hand who can reason about frontier systems and the institutions they will affect.
If that's you, or someone you know: https://t.co/668HDz1lhf
Vibecoded a silly little tool that transfers files from your computer to your phone air-gapped using your camera at ~50 Kbps.
Nice to have when you're offline or on a plane, or need to send something super duper securely.
If you are a producer, creative coder, or just curious about how this tech actually works under the hood, this is for you. Basic comfort with music tools and Python is helpful, but not needed.
One point I made that didn’t come across:
- Scaling the current thing will keep leading to improvements. In particular, it won’t stall.
- But something important will continue to be missing.
We believe the benefits of frontier AI should not be concentrated in a few companies and well-resourced labs. Researchers know their fields best. Our role is to put powerful tools in their hands and help accelerate their work.
The program will help researchers take on the hardest problems, accelerate discovery, and improve productivity across their work, from preparing grant applications to testing hypotheses.
🚀 excited to ship Numbat, an open-source Go tool for endpoint visibility into AI agent activity, with local detection, optional pre-action blocking, and forensic reconstruction.
i started it as a simple tool to collect on-disk session artifacts for local AI agents, for cases where no live telemetry was available. it quickly grew into a full D&R tool with live activity monitoring (hooks/OpenTelemetry), an on-device CEL detection engine with multi-step rules, optional enforcement, and support for desktop, CLI, and IDE agents.
please give it a try, and file issues or feature requests if you run into anything!

Alongside it, Anthropic is releasing a proposal for how governments can address the risks posed by frontier AI and a policy framework for job displacement, for which we intend to provide substantial financial backing. https://t.co/P0W2lIKbdY

@mitsuhiko Turns out the "third-party provider" with the sandbox that was used for the attack was Modal, though they blame one of their customers for deploying an endpoint without authentication: https://t.co/icV6JcGxD6
One of my most defining experiences was 15 years ago watching two ppl with roughly same followers. One HAD to tweet the zinger, HAD to argue with everyone. The other mostly stayed positive and built.
The former ended up having a middling career. The latter a monster career.
