@woodyVSworld The size of the football is perfectly to scale and not AI 😅
They should’ve just used a real picture of the tailgate fields because that’s where all the Indiana fans were during games
@TheKNANC@JohnMassingale4 How did ND and Florida get hardcore supporters?
By converting bandwagon fans into generational fans.
It’s like being mad at a caterpillar for not being a butterfly. The only way to build great national fanbases like ND and Florida is to win.
@TheKNANC@JohnMassingale4 It was literally the most losingest program in major college football history until Cignetti started. Northwestern just took that title in 2025.
I would agree that IUFB are fair-weather fans. But disagree about them being bandwagon fans. I don’t think these are the same things.
@donaldfurniss7@JohnMassingale4 Bandwagon fan <> fair weather fan. New fan <> Dormant fan.
IU basketball converted bandwagon fans into generational fans after their historical success.
Every program wants bandwagon & fair-weather fans. That’s how generational fan bases & national brands, like OSU, are built.
@donaldfurniss7@JohnMassingale4 Quite literally is not. These fans were already IU fans. They are almost entirely IU alumni.
Their fandom is not new.
If you wanted to make an argument that they are “fair-weather” football fans, then I’d agree.
@JohnMassingale4 If you get enough bandwagon fans who become generational fans you can create the biggest national football brand, like Notre Dame…
These IU fans? Not bandwagon fans. But hopefully they have enough success to create the bandwagon.
@JohnMassingale4 But what happens to bandwagon fans? Some change allegiance to a new team when times get tough, but even more stay. And those who stay pass their fandom down to their kids. Generational fans are made.
Over time, it just feels authentic.
