I’ve been wanting to watch “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In” for so long, but with everything going on, I just couldn’t find the time. Even when I had a free moment, I was too exhausted and kept missing my chance—but I finally got to watch it! And wow, it was absolutely incredible! Just pure excitement! I feel so energized now! This is entertainment!
The Kowloon Walled City set, Mr. Tanigaki’s action sequences, the cast, the unique characters, the fates and friendships of these warriors—everything was phenomenal! And Terence Lau was just too cool. As someone who grew up watching Hong Kong films, I can’t even begin to describe how happy this made me. Welcome back! No matter how much time moves forward, some things never change.
One moment that really stood out to me was when they played the theme song from the animated film The Snowman.
I'd love to see more movies like JOKER 2, or MATRIX RESURRECTION (and probably MEGALOPOLIS).
Big budget movies by directors with a vision that feel personal instead of committee movies that entertain and are forgotten at once.
This allows blockbusters like DUNE 2 or FURIOSA.
Lady Gaga responds to ‘JOKER 2’ being a failure with audiences:
“People just sometimes don't like some things. It’s that simple. And I think to be an artist, you have to be willing for people to sometimes not like it. You keep going even if something didn’t connect in the way that you intended.”

FRANCIS FORD COPPOLA will shoot his next film in early 2025. It's called GLIMPSES OF THE MOON and he describes it as a "strange 30s-style musical"

Today I learned that people in Basel, Switzerland, use the river to commute by just jumping in and floating downstream.
You can buy “dry bags” to put your clothing and/or shopping in and then use it as a floatation device.
I’m kind of obsessed. Watch:
The Inari-machi (稲荷町) was an area of a Japanese towns in which wannabe actors, musicians and artists looking for their big break would live. It is said that it was called so because every house had an Inari kamidana (稲荷神棚) shrine, and they'd live hoping their prayers would be answered and they could make it big.
There are many areas of town, usually near theatres, which still retain the name "Inari-machi" or "Inari-cho."
This season in the countryside, ta-no-kusa-tori (田草取り) is a summer chore that keeps the rice fields looking pristine. While weeding out the unnecessary grasses, children encounter tadpoles and water bugs, frogs and happy dragonflies. It is a Ghibli-like experience reserved for the fresh waters and greens of the countryside.
Curious to see something new from Jim Cummings, one of the most intriguing new filmmakers.
(If anybody hasn't watched Thunder Road yet, do it now! The feature is on Unext and Amazon Prime in Japan, and the short is on Jim's Vimeo.)
@phildownn@taesdawn26 The Handmaiden got a wide release in Japan and is the highest-rated Park Chan-wook movie on https://t.co/UH0OPKRpTW (followed by JSA).
Not that this will change a lot, but FURIOSA topped the opening weekend box office in Japan and surpassed the opening of Fury Road.

FURIOSA is a fantastic Mad Max movie and one of my favorite blockbusters from recent years.
I really hope that we’re going to see George Miller direct The Wasteland.
