@YahooSports@TaylorTwellman Remember that 9 subs started this game. We don't know how 2-3 of those guys would fit in alongside a bunch of starters, only that they couldn't get the job done with a team full of subs. Depth quality still uncertain, though.
I understand that the wind is up and this U.S. Open golf course is tough and tricky ... but my gosh, so many terrible shots by great players today. 15-foot putts that come up 5 feet short, approach shots that are 15-20 yards wide of the flag. Like they all forgot how to play.
@Steveonbaseball My rooting interest in baseball was over by the end of May last year. Think the O's can still be playing baseball that matters in late June or am I resigned to another year of disappointment?
@realhuntdog23@DanWolken Asking a guy how close his good round to being a great round is fair. He missed at least four mid-range putts that would have turned 65 into something spectacular.
The lack of precision by the #usmnt is evident whenever it plays a quality opponent. What we lack is easy to see because the opponent shows us. Frustrating to watch.
@USMNT No pride, no urgency, just complacency from this team. Trying to find a reason to get excited about the World Cup, so give us some reason to do so. Anything!
We're supposed to have a world-class team. Yet, when we face real teams with real world-class talent, this is what we get. Help me understand why we should be leaning toward optimism as we head toward the World Cup? #usmnt
@jareddiamond Unless you think money doesn't buy talent, you have to look at the huge gap in spending between groups of teams and agree that their ability to compete has to be minimized. They have no room for error or injury and have to get lucky with a cheap FA signing or three.
Quite intrigued by the Cosby trade the #Ravens made. Really good player added to the fold. But I need some understanding what else they're doing. By my count, the lost six players today and added one, a guard (Simpson). We need some contributors.
@sportswcoleman So what defensive scheme calls for both the guy who scored the TD and the slot receiver to be WIDE OPEN? Look at the replay. Slot guy goes straight upfield, raises his arm because nobody is on him.
@MikePrestonSun And just to make sure we don't get too excited, they have to toss in a pissed PAT. This is just a majorly flawed football team right now.
@MarkMaske And if you're going to eliminate ND based on an August 3-point loss AT Miami, why not slam the Tide for losing by 14 POINTS to an awful FSU team also in August. Worst loss among the CFP contending teams, I believe.
