🚨 Saquon Barkley Can Still finish as RB1 OVERALL - Don’t let someone else win their leagues because of it!
The market is treating Saquon Barkley like the explosion already happened and can’t happen again. I’m not sure that’s true.
Mike Clay projects Saquon for 301 carries, 1,285 rushing yards, 43 receptions, 370 receiving yards, 11 total TDs, and 273 PPR points. That’s RB12 in his model.
That sounds like a decline.
I see something different.
Clay still projects Saquon for 344 total touches, the 7th-most in football. He also projects him for a 65% carry share, tied with names like Derrick Henry, James Cook, Javonte Williams, and Omarion Hampton. That is not a washed RB projection. That is elite volume.
The question is whether Saquon can turn that volume back into league-breaking efficiency.
In 2024, he rushed for 2,005 yards on 345 carries. That was 5.8 yards per carry. In 2025, he fell to 1,140 yards on 280 carries. That was 4.1 yards per carry. That drop is why the market is scared.
But the important part is that Clay is not projecting a dead-cat bounce. He has Saquon at 1,285 yards on 301 carries, which is 4.27 yards per carry.
For Saquon to lead the league in rushing again, he probably needs to beat Clay’s projection by roughly 250-300 yards.
That sounds like a lot until you do the math. If he gets Clay’s 301 carries and averages 5.0 yards per carry, he’s at 1,505 rushing yards. If he gets closer to 320 carries and averages 5.0, he’s at 1,600.
That’s not 2024 historic Saquon. That’s just “healthy Saquon in a strong offense with elite workload” Saquon.
The bet is not that he repeats 2,005 yards.
The bet is that the market is overcorrecting because he didn’t repeat one of the best rushing seasons ever.
That’s the dynasty edge. Fantasy managers love buying young RBs because they “could become league winners.” Saquon already is one. He still has the workload. He still has the offense. He still has the goal-line equity. And even in Clay’s conservative projection, he’s still sitting inside the top 10 in projected touches and scrimmage yards.
If Saquon beats his projection, the value spike is obvious. A 1,500-yard, 12+ TD season would immediately push him back into the elite redraft RB tier and make him one of the most valuable win-now assets in dynasty again.
No, he is not a rebuild buy. No, you should not pretend age does not matter. But contenders should be asking a different question:
If Saquon hits, can he win me a championship?
The answer is still yes.
🏰 Dynasty Citadel Verdict:
The market is pricing Saquon like the cliff is coming. Mike Clay is still projecting elite volume. If you can buy him at an RB2 dynasty price before the rushing-title conversation comes back, I’m interested.
Sometimes the league winner isn’t the shiny breakout. Sometimes it’s the superstar everyone discounted one year too early.

How to make Better Dynasty Trades with Direction w @DynastyDadFF

@DynastyGoat2282@FF_Citadel That was exactly my thinking too. From a ppg perspective, how far is Dart really gunna be from Lamar? Lamar would have to have a 2024 type season for it to lean his side. But Carnell Tate and Egbuka!?!? All day for me over Breece and Evans. Tate is going to be WR6ish next year
🧵The FASTEST way to turn a REBUILD into the 1.01 isn’t selling your stars…
It’s stashing the RIGHT players to manipulate the market.

Top 5 "bad advice" dynasty tropes:
1️⃣ Push "all in" to win this year
2️⃣ You can't predict anything that's more than 2 or 3 years down the road
3️⃣ Trades must make sense in terms of positional need
4️⃣ Dont try to project future rookie picks
5️⃣ Optimize "roster construction"
Are y’all SURE that Alvin Kamara isn’t one of the best value picks in fantasy football right now?
Imagine Travis Etienne Jr misses time in 2026…
Are you SURE that one bad season is enough to go full fade on one of the greatest RBs of the past decade?
I won’t be fading him‼️👨🏻🍳
Redraft “Value” is NOT the same as Dynasty “Value”
It becomes more about stacking wins early and often and less about age and player skill/role development.
If you start slow, your season is probably already over. Here is why early wins matter so much. 🧵👇
