So so sorry to hear this. Steve was the reigning authority of preps following the great Taylor Bell. And no one knew more about or championed women’s sports. RIP dear Steve. You were such an integral part of the Sun Times sports dept. 😢
My friend and mentor Steve Tucker died today. His impact on Chicago journalism (not just in sports) is immense. Tuck gave so many of us our first real shot.
If you read any news about the city this week, you read a reporter that Tuck took a chance on and made better.
Give your furry friends an extra scritch behind the ears and a belly rub for this little guy, who we lost very suddenly this morning. He was the world's friendliest and most patient cat, and we're gonna miss him terribly.
Just when I think I’ve seen it all in recruiting graphics, one pops up that takes my breath away.
Check out this unofficial one for @landon_lauter’s PWO commitment where a Godzilla-sized Willie the Wildcat looms over a mockup of the new Ryan Field
The passing of Tom “Otis” Hellman is the saddest news. He was a fixture in the Cubs clubhouse and so much a part of decades of Wrigley Field. And such a sweet fellow to get to know. Sincere condolences to his dear wife Mary and great kids. 😢💔
