@audrarowell94 Creating art for others to assess is not only risk taking but so very brave! Feedback should always include positive affirmation&some suggestion to improve. Even though I base my grades on effort-i will now delineate this into focused during work time and fluency. #sscbookstudy
@audrarowell94 In art, goal setting is integral not only in mastering basic techniques, but it pushes s artist to examine their personal choice&application. They can review their initial innovative goals and see if their message was properly conveyed to their audience. #sscbookstudy
@audrarowell94 The intent for most artworks would be for ss to process through creative problem solving. When ss are deciding what specific materials to grab and actually starting an artwork-that’s decision making.Problem solving occurs often after or during the art making when intent isn’t met.
@audrarowell94 Absolutely,it should be a priority!Engaging ss to solve individually as well collectively prioritizes their well being. By working to solve & then focusing on an action is what we do everyday in most every decision,in&out of the classroom. #sscbookstudy#lifelessons
@audrarowell94 Critical thinking activities should dictate an intended message. What you want to say. Imagination should dictate the stylistic application of the message. How can I best get my intention across. #sscbookstudy#eatonvisualart
@audrarowell94 As well as my role as the facilitator, I believe it is best to reinforce a safe environment driven by empathy. Innovation requires risk taking. Art ss must connect personally & display innovation in their work to be their best, so empathy is integral in my classroom culture.
@audrarowell94 In the visual arts it is the most imaginative responses that receive the most attention! In order to be inspired to create t’s should take time to allow and award imaginative free thinking.
@audrarowell94 I am so guilty of not providing enough imaginative exercises prior to projects, looking at the end result and pushing toward that ASAP! Designating time JUST to explore our imagination as the learning target would promote motivation and collaboration.
