His name is Muhammad Abdullah, and he goes by Imam of the People online. He’s Dr. Aminah Knight’s husband.

In his video, he says Governor Abbott is attacking his family, claims they’re now getting death threats and harassment, and declares he’s “not backing down” and will keep fighting.

Some people who posted about the event say his tone felt like a direct threat toward them, especially the woman who first highlighted the “Muslims only” flyer.

Of course he frames it as standing up against Islamophobia and political attacks on his family even though he posted a video threatening revenge against Governor Abbot and this woman.

“I’m not backing down” and “I’m taking these bigoted, hate-filled politicians down,” was a direct quote from his video.
