Progress of the Sub-Second upgrade deployment on TON mainnet

TON is moving toward an architecture where blockchain latency is measured in milliseconds rather than seconds.

The Sub-Second upgrade is one of the most significant technological improvements to the network in recent years.

— New API and UX are already available on mainnet

— Mainnet validators have upgraded to the new network code and Catchain 2.0 consensus (activation pending, after testing)

— Testnet is stable, with operations remaining under one second even at 1000 TPS per shardchain

— Improvements and optimizations were implemented based on testing results

— Two mainnet service releases (TON 2026.02 and TON 2026.02-1) improved stability and security
