Jeremy Clarkson Blasts Burnham’s Labour 😡

Jeremy called the Labour government out this morning for scrapping free prostate cancer blood tests for men over 50:

“Until last week, men over 50 were entitled to a free PSA prostate cancer check. But the government has now decided to withdraw that right. I cannot for the life of me work out what their reasoning might be.”

Clarkson knows exactly what he’s talking about. He was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer in 2025 after a routine PSA blood test. Because it was caught early, he is now in remission. He has repeatedly urged men to get tested, saying the blood test saved his life.

Now, under Burnham’s government, that simple entitlement has been quietly withdrawn. Men over 50 are no longer automatically entitled to request a free PSA test. The decision rests with the GP, who will weigh “risk factors.” The old guidance that made the test available on request has been retired by Department of Health officials without public consultation.

Clarkson is right to be furious. Prostate cancer kills around 12,000 men a year in the UK. Many have no symptoms until it’s advanced. Early detection saves lives, Clarkson is living proof. Instead of making testing easier, Burnham’s government is making it harder.

Once again, ordinary men are paying the price for Labour’s priorities. Clarkson has exposed it. The rest of us should be asking the same question he is: what on earth is their reasoning?
