In one scenario, half of Sherwood Park would be thrown in with Tofield, which is 50 kms away in a different county.
I asked the MLA for Strathcona-Sherwood Park why he isn’t speaking up for his constituents. /2

WE'VE GOT OURSELVES A GOALIE FIGHT! 🚨
Prince George's Josh Ravensbergen and Penticton's Ethan McCallum dropped the mits and exchanged blows in the Cougars' 3-0 win over the Vees 😅🥊
Oilers GM Stan Bowman should spend the Olympic break studying Edmonton record vs top three Central Division teams. Lost 9-1 to Colorado, 8-3 and 4-3 SO to Dallas and 1-0, 5-2 and now 7-3 to Minnesota. They not only lost them all, they’ve been outscored 34-12.
UCP is angry that their MLAs face recall petitions ‘just because the petitioners disagree with their policies’. The policies people are upset about are things UCP NEVER campaigned on and have no mandate for. And you’re also ignoring constituents. So yes, people are upset. Duh.
Albertans are constantly told oil and gas makes us prosperous.
-Our students are funded at the lowest level in the nation.
-We are being told the only way we can get healthcare is if we pay out of pocket.
O&G had a pipeline built on our dime they don’t pay taxes and we
On November 7th, the UCP launched a lawsuit against me, MLA Sinclair, and the Alberta Party.
Albertans deserve to hear what this case is - and what it isn’t.
Because it isn’t about trademarks or party names.
And it isn’t about justice.
This is about intimidation - and it fits a pattern.
The UCP use threats to silence anyone who challenges them.
They claim I was removed from caucus due to misconduct.
The truth is: I raised concerns about potential corruption and pushed for transparency.
I wasn’t removed for misconduct - I was removed because I refused to participate in it.
The lawsuit itself is littered with errors.
One especially odd claim is the allegation of a “conspiracy.”
And the irony is hard to miss: a party known for chasing conspiracies is now trying to convince Albertans that everyone else is part of one.
This government has a credibility problem - and it shows when they use baseless accusations to distract from their failures.
Their trademark argument is weak.
More importantly, the UCP let the PC name lapse - and in 2023 a private citizen legally registered it.
If anyone “lost” the name, it was the UCP - through their own negligence.
But they never accept responsibility.
They blame anyone but themselves.
This lawsuit is about fear - fear of competition and fear of a conservative movement they can’t control.
But sunlight is coming.
We welcome evidence, documents, and cross-examination - and the Premier finally answering questions under oath.
Accountability can only be avoided for so long - and this time, it will be on the record.

Remember this? Fox News tried coming after Denmark's social safety net. This Danish politician's legendary fact check shows us all how it’s done. Via @nowthisnews
@GlobalEdmonton “After 2 years and 18 billion dollars, our committee has concluded this is Justin Trudeau’s fault. And Rachel notley. We won’t be sharing our report. No questions”
Take a listen Alberta.
This man was on the inside. He saw the corruption… the waste… the govt interference in processes that should be arm’s length.
He spoke up and the kicked him out.
The CEO spoke up and they fired her.
When will Albertans speak up?
Call a Public Inquiry
Danielle Smith once claimed her "mission in public life" was to defend the fundamental rights and freedoms, and that they "cannot be taken away from us by government".
But now she's the one who has taken away fundamental rights and freedoms from Albertans.

@JDanger__ @kim_siever@LisaAnnFace This is already happening. The UCP cancelled the school in Ellerslie. Now, kids have to pay for bussing to EWJ while kids in the neighbourhood nearby, who could walk to school, have to pay for bussing to Wagner. It's a 30-40 minute transit ride. EWJ was intended for these kids.
