Diversity is not our strength. A Survey conducted by Failte Ireland in 2016 found that 96% of tourists visit Ireland because of what is uniquely Irish - "friendly people", our banter and humour. Fast forward, not even a decade, and the government are portraying the fact that there are now more than 82,000 migrants working in the hospitality industry as something that is to be celebrated. This is a massive one third of all workers in the hospitality industry and climbing. It is not rocket science to work out why tourism in Ireland is being completely destroyed before our very eyes. Why would tourists visit Ireland if they are not guaranteed an Irish experience?. Our unique Irish culture was our main selling point for tourists and the government have systematically destroyed this country through their reckless mass immigration policy.
