The British Army in Kenya (BATUK) has canceled all military exercises in Laikipia following protests by local residents and a petition from victims of British soldiers.
The Kenyan Government refused to grant British troops the permission to conduct the exercises.
Following a series of alleged crimes against civilians, including the 2012 murder of Kenyan woman, Agnes Wanjiru linked to a British soldier, the public and the Parliament demanded stricter legal conditions governing BATUKโs presence.
